Missing Person: William Neal Fite, Male, Native Place: FloridaHernando, Date of Birth: 03/16/1962, The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is looking for William (Billy) Fite, a Hernando man who has been missing since August 2000. Fite's mother has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to her son's whereabouts. Fite spent most of July 2000 working in Montana, but returned to Citrus by the end of that month, the Sheriff's Office reported in a news release. A missing persons report was filed August 19, 2000. Authorities searched Fite's mobile home on West Globe Court but found no apparent signs of a struggle or foul play. Law officers found his vehicle, a Plymouth Acclaim, parked at his residence. The Sheriff's Office has searched the area around Fite's home; contacted area hospitals, mental health receiving facilities and detention centers; and issued numerous statewide and national bulletins.
